Learning Outcomes:

On completion of the training program participants should be able to:
a)  define the regulatory requirements associated with hot work procedures;
b)  explain the reasons for using Australian Standards and Referenced Documents;
c)  explain the administrative steps associated with hot work;
d)  fill in a hot work permit
e)  describe procedures for the following;
      1. Risk Assessment
      2. Risk Control
      3. Hazard Identification
      4. Control Measures
      5. Monitoring the atmosphere
      6. Isolation Procedures
f)   explain fire prevention procedures;
g)  demonstrate a knowledge in the selection and operation of fire fighting appliances;
h)  describe the items of personal protective equipment required when conducting hot work.

Assessment:

Participants will be assessed using a structured online exam.
