Course Objecive:

This course has been designed for participants who need to learn how to conform to legislative requirements, identify various height related work scenarios and know how best to respond to them.

During the course you will also learn how to care for height safety equipment. Our industry-experienced instructors will deliver the course theory session with practical experience so you can be sure to learn valuable skills that can be applied in your own workplace.

>    Occupational Health, Safety & Welfare Act & Regulations
>    Australian Standards for Working at Heights• Equipment as used in Working at Heights and      correct use of: (Harness, lanyards, retractable lanyards, inertia reels, ropes)
>    Karabiners – Construction and strengths. Potential misuse
>    Attachment points
>    Temporary life line systems
>    Inspection of equipment
>    Inspection Record Cards
>    Correct fitting of equipment
>    Practical installing temporary life line system
>    Achieving safe access
>    Practical onsite Application

Assessment:

>    Practical assessment

>    Able to use basic English
>    Able to work at heights
